The Inside Scoop: Making Health News Work for You – March 8th
NEW YORK, NY, February 16, 2006 – The NYU Cancer Institute will present a discussion about the vital role of the media in disseminating health information to the public on March 8, 2006, Wednesday from 6 PM – 7:30 PM at 550 First Avenue in Farkas Auditorium.
The distinguished panel of speakers will discuss how stories are developed on both the local and national levels; how consumers can best assess the information they are reading, and guidelines to support accurate reporting. Our panelists will present a real example of how a health story came to life, outlining the diligent efforts of members of the media to convey such cutting-edge information to the public. This event is sure to be informative, enlightening, and enjoyable for all.
