NEW YORK, March 2005 -- The 169 current fourth-year medical students of NYU School of Medicine learned where they will perform their residencies during the Match Day ceremony on March 17. Match Day is a nationwide event that simultaneously reveals critical residency appointments for all graduating medical students across the country.
Among the graduating students is Tamika Blackburn, Class of 2005, who was born and raised in Queens. Tamika was matched to NYU to complete her clinical training. At 23 years of age, she just returned from Jamaica after spending a week in the rural underserved area as part of a health care outreach program.
We congratulate all the extraordinary fourth-year students and wish them the best in their future careers!
