Expert Talks About Common Voice Problems of Lung Cancer Patients

New York, April 7, 2005 – Milan R. Amin, Director of the NYU Voice Center and Associate Professor Otolaryngology at New York University School of Medicine can comment on common voice and swallowing problems of lung cancer patients including vocal chord paralysis. According to Dr. Amin, a nerve that connects from the brain to the chest to the vocal chord can be damaged by the cancer. Dr. Amin says that voice problems treated by many different types of treatment including ranging from simple office procedures, to speech therapy or outpatient day surgery.
