PURPOSES FOR YOUR BEQUEST:

Unrestricted or General Purpose Bequest
You may choose to direct your legacy for the general purposes of NYU Langone Medical Center. A general purpose bequest affords NYU Langone Medical Center the greatest flexibility to direct funds to the most urgent needs at the time the gift comes to us.

Special Purpose Bequest
Special purpose gifts support a specific area of medicine, often one that has touched you, the donor, in a meaningful way. Possibilities include establishing a scholarship fund, endowing a professorship, or supporting patient care or research in a field of your choice. Many friends choose to name a program or a space on the Medical Center campus, carrying their name forward in perpetuity.

Permanent Fund Bequest
This bequest allows you to restrict the principal of your gift, requiring us to hold the funds permanently and use only the income generated. Creating a permanent fund in this manner means that your gift can continue giving indefinitely. A permanent fund bequest can be directed to the general purposes of the medical center or to a specific purpose such as scholarships. The minimum for a named fund is $50,000.
