KiDS of NYU Foundation Springfling – – Wednesday, May 21, 2008
The KiDS Springfling gala, chaired by Trudy Elbaum Gottesman and Bob Gottesman, will be held on May 21st at the newly renovated Plaza Hotel. This year, KiDS will honor Dr. Jessica Foltin and Dr. George Foltin for their contributions to pediatric emergency medicine, and Susi Trautmann Wunsch and Peter Wunsch, KiDS board members, for their long-term commitment to KiDS.
Founded in 1991 by a group of parents and pediatric physicians, KiDS is unique among pediatric philanthropic efforts in that it provides funds to inpatient and outpatient programs that serve children throughout NYU Langone Medical Center. KiDS of NYU Foundation, Inc. works in partnership with the Medical Center to enhance clinical and supportive care for children and families, to fund research into childhood illnesses, and to promote a nurturing environment that enables children to be children. KiDS fulfills important needs, often through multi-year gifts, by lending support that may not be available from the hospital budget or other sources.
