The program in Female Urology and Voiding Dysfunction was established by Dr. Victor Nitti in 1995. Since that time, the program has expanded and now includes Doctors Christopher Kelly and Nirit Rosenblum. Women may suffer from a multitude of conditions which require a caring and sensitive approach.

The program in female urology focuses specifically on the urologic needs
of women. These include urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic
prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections and female sexual dysfunction.
We take a unique approach to the female patient, truly emphasizing quality
of life and quality of care. The program in female urology offers a wide
array of diagnostic tests and treatment options, many of which can be performed
in the office. The office at NYU Urology Associates is fully equipped with
state-of-the-art videourodynamics, eliminating the need to visit the hospital.
Our approach to incontinence and prolapse is individualized. Once the correct diagnosis is established, we work with the patient to establish the correct treatment. Treatments include behavioral therapy, biofeedback, medications, and minimally invasive procedures, such as the injection of urethral bulking agents, all of which can be performed in the office.
Doctors Nitti, Kelly and Rosenblum are all specialists in reconstructive surgical procedures, including the latest minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of urinary incontinence and prolapse in women. The program is also involved in several ongoing clinical trials for investigation of treatments for incontinence and voiding dysfunction.
