Victor Nitti, M.D. is Vice-Chairman of Urology, joined the faculty of NYU in 1995. He is an internationally recognized authority in urodynamic techniques,medical and surgical therapies for incontinence and voiding dysfunction in women and men. He has authored numerous peer review articles as well as over 20 book chapters on these subjects. In 1998 he edited the textbook Practical Urodynamics published by W. B. Saunders. Recently, he has also authored two chapters on post-prostatectomy incontinence for issues of Urologic Clinics of North America and Campbell's Urology,the leading urology textbooks worldwide.He has presented his research at national and international meetings and has been invited as a visiting professor and participated in postgraduate courses throughout the world.
Dr. Niti is involved in several clinical trials for new pharmacologic and minimally invasive treatments for urinary incontinence and voiding dysfunction. Dr. Niti is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Board of Urology, a member of the American Urological Association, The Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology and The World Health Organization's First and Second International Consultation on Incontinence. Dr. Nitti was recently named to New York Magazine's "Best Doctors in New York" and "Top 100 Minimally Invasive Surgeons in New York" as well as Castle Connolly Medical Ltd's America's Top Doctors.
