On September 27, 2007 the NYU Langone Medical Center hosted a "Resident for a Day" event. This was part of an effort to educate policy-makers about graduate medical education by placing them in the shoes of someone on the path to becoming a physician. The day included an overview of the medical school experience, a tour of a day in the life of a resident, and a "White Coat Ceremony" for the policy-makers who completed the event.
