Under the leadership of Dr. William Carroll, the Center’s team treats children with cancers and blood disorders including brain tumors, bone and soft tissue sarcomas, leukemia, vascular malformations and other diseases of the blood such as platelet and blood-clotting disorders.

Our AquariumThe Hassenfeld Children’s Center is nationally recognized for its top medical care and its groundbreaking child-life and emotional support programs.

Our distinguished faculty lead nationally renowned programs in the treatment of hematological malignancies (childhood leukemia and lymphoma), pediatric neuro-oncology, and vascular anomalies.

The Hassenfeld Center is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), the leading consortium of pediatric cancer centers in the United States which allows us to offer the most current and effective treatment options to our patients with cancer.

Waiting AreaThe dedicated staff includes physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, child life therapists, and a family health librarian who work together to provide high quality care in a child- and family-friendly environment.

The Hassenfeld Children’s Center believes that the emotional and psychological impact of helping to normalize children’s lives during treatment will have a lasting, positive effect both in fighting the disease and long after the illness is cured.

At Hassenfeld, we treat the child, not the disease and our interdisciplinary model allows us to provide personalized care to each and every patient.
