Introduction
NYU
offers a seven-year Neurology/Radiology/Neuroradiology residency
training program. This program is approved by the ACGME. The graduating
resident is board eligible in Neurology (www.abpn.com), Radiology
and Neuroradiology (www.theabr.com). The program begins a with customized
internship year that includes four months of diagnostic radiology,
six months of internal medicine, a month of pediatrics and a month
of emergency medicine. The PGY-2 and PGY-3 years are spent training
in adult neurology. The PGY-4 and PGY-5 years are spent training
diagnostic radiology. In the final two years of the program, the
resident learns diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. Graduates
are eligible to sit for dual Board Certification in Neurology and
Radiology and Added Qualification Certification in Neuroradiology.
