The brain tumor bank is organized and maintained by the neuropathology and neuro-oncology services at NYU. After diagnosis, excess samples of brain tumors are frozen for later use in basic science research projects. With proper protocol approval, neurosurgery residents and attending have access to this material for new and ongoing research efforts.
