Announcing the opening of The Women's Health Free Clinic!

Opening on February 9th, the WHFC will be housed at the Institute for Family Health's 16th street location in Manhattan, open every Saturday.
The services offered include, but are not limited to:

  • Routine GYN exam / well-woman exam
  • Pap smears, HPV testing
  • Contraception: Birth control pills, depo provera shot, IUDs, condoms
  • Emergency contraception (Plan B or "morning-after pill")
  • STD testing and treatment (genital warts, gonorrhea, chlamydia, herpes, HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B)
  • Pregnancy testing, options counseling and ultrasound for unintended pregnancy
  • Medication Abortion (up to 9 weeks since the last menstrual period)
  • Treatment of GYN problems - vaginal infections, irregular bleeding, pain
  • Endometrial biopsy
  • Referral for screening mammogram and colonoscopy
  • All necessary bloodwork and laboratory services
  • Outpatient specialty referrals

Patients will be seen by teams composed of NYU medical students, Beth Israel residents, and a reproductive health fellow with a specific interest in women's health.
