General Obstetrics and Gynecology
NYU Hospitals Center is locally and nationally renowned for its excellent Obstetric and Gynecologic care. Our practice offers a broad range of primary, gynecological, and obstetrical services.
Gynecology
Along with routine gynecological care, many other services are offered including: pelvic ultrasound; aspiration of breast cysts; evaluation of infertility, including the special needs of same-sex couples; colposcopy (a diagnostic evaluation of abnormal pap smears); LEEP (a loop electrosurgical procedure used to diagnose and treat cervical cancer); cryotherapy for vaginal warts; and bone density testing for osteoporosis prevention and treatment.
Obstetrics
NYU's program offers a broad range of obstetrical services. Among these are pre-natal care that gives equal emphasis to the well-being of the mother and of the fetus; fetal monitoring through ultrasound and other techniques; childbirth preparedness and breastfeeding classes; and consultation for high-risk pregnancies.
