Dr. Hugh Randall serves as the Director of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Co-Vice Chairman of the Department. As the former acting chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University Medical Center, he has extensive experience in medical policy and in training the next generation of physicians. He completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta.
Dr. Miriam Cremer (MD, MPH) is a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist who completed her fellowship in family planning at the University of Southern California in 2005. She is the founder of Basic Health, El Salvador, a public health non-governmental organization based in San Salvador, El Salvador, which focuses on contraception and cervical cancer screening. She has received multiple grants for public health projects both nationally and internationally. Her specific research interests include: cervical cancer screening, adolescent comprehension of emergency contraception and post-abortion contraception, and improving contraceptive services worldwide.

Dr. Samantha Dunham is a graduate of Boston College (B.A. English/French), Columbia University Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med program and Temple University School of Medicine. After completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU, she worked with an underserved population in Brooklyn, and then entered private practice in Mahattan. She joined the faculty in 2006. Dr. Dunham is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Associate Student Education Director. She also cares for patients at the Initiative for Women with Disabilities at NYU Hospital for Joint Disease, and cares for cancer survivors at the NYU Clinical Cancer Center. Her special interests include minimally invasive surgery, operative hysteroscopy, evaluation of abnormal uterine bleeding, assessment of cervical dysplasia with colposcopic evaluation and treatment, osteoporosis, menopause/perimenopause, and well-woman care.

Dr. Florencia Polite is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU, she joined the faculty in 2006. Dr. Polite is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and an Associate Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at NYU. Her special interests include the treatment of fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, cervical dysplasia, colposcopic evaluations, hysteroscopy, LEEP cone biopsy, operative laparoscopy, osteoporosis, menopause/perimenopause, and well-woman care. Dr. Polite has been the recipient of multiple teaching awards from both medical students and residents including the CREOG National Faculty Award.
Dr. Ming Tsai joined the faculty in September 2006 as an Assistant Professor and serves as the Associate Director of the Medical Student Clerkship in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is the recipient of many awards for excellence in teaching including the 2007 APGO Excellence in Teaching Award at NYU. Dr. Tsai received his medical degree from the prestigious Sao Paulo University School of Medicine in Brazil. He has completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Hospital das Clinicas in Sao Paulo, Brazil, one of the largest hospitals in Latin America. In addition, he completed his residency training at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, New York. He has won “Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures” Award in 2006 by American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). And “Resident Achievement Award in Laparoscopy” in 2006 by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Tsai’s research experience includes: The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Medical College of Cornell University and Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. Dr. Tsai has written many peer review articles in the area of immunology and reproductive endocrinology, has presented his research at several national and international academic conferences. His clinical and research interests focus primarily on reproductive endocrinology and surgery, reproductive immunology, minimally invasive surgery, benign endometrial pathology and alternative treatment for benign gynecological pathology.
