Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) has been directed by James A. Grifo, MD, PhD since 1995. That year was a pivotal point for the Division, since, in addition to Dr. Grifo, the appointments of Dr. Alan S. Berkeley as Director of IVF at the NYU Program for IVF, Reproductive Surgery & Infertility; Nicole Noyes, MD as Director of Reproductive Surgery; and Fred Licciardi, MD, as Director of the Donor Oocyte Program, brought a wealth of clinical and scientific expertise to the Program and to NYU's Ob/Gyn Department.

Lewis C. Krey, PhD is Director of the Embryology and Andrology laboratories and Mortimer Levitz, PhD, of the Endocrine laboratory. All physicians and Directors are actively engaged in research and oversee clinical and basic science activities. The Embryology laboratory is staffed with professionals who rank among the world's finest.This combination of academic and technical expertise has created one of the most respected IVF programs and clinical Divisions in the country.
