Dr. James A. Grifo began his career in reproductive medicine in 1988. He has focused his research on preimplantation genetic diagnosis, resulting in the first U.S. baby born following these procedures. Dr. Grifo received his doctorate in biochemistry, and his medical degree, from Case Western Reserve University. He completed residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Yale University. Dr. Kelly J. Baek received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Medical Center. She completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Cornell Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. She is currently an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine, where she teaches and lectures to reproductive endocrinology fellows, obstetrics and gynecology residents and medical students.

 

 

Dr. Alan S. Berkeley has been a leader in the field of infertility and assisted reproduction since 1979. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, he received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed an internship at George Washington University Hospital. He completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Yale-New Haven Hospital, with subsequent specialty training in reproductive endocrinology and gynecologic oncology.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Dehan Chen graduated from Harvard University receiving the Harvard College Scholar Award in 1989 and an A.B. degree in 1991. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Chen completed his obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In 1999 he went on to a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Medical College in New York City completing his fellowship in June 2002. He is Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.

Dr. Lewis C. Krey is Director of the Embryology, Andrology and Research laboratories at the NYU Fertility Center.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Lisa M. Kump-Checchio earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph's College in Brooklyn and her medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center of Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Prior to joining NYUIVF, she completed fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility of the New York Presbyterian Hospital -Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Dr. Frederick L. Licciardi has been practicing infertility since 1992. He received his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. After completing fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in 1992, Dr.Licciardi was recruited to NYU, where he is credited with providing the expertise necessary for inception of the original IVF program. Dr. Ali Nasseri is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta and the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He performed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City, and his fellowship was performed in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Nasseri is board certified from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, holding Diplomate status in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at New York University School of Medicine.

 

 

Dr. Nicole Noyes began the practice of reproductive medicine in 1990. She received her undergraduate degree in nutrition, and her medical degree, from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Noyes completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and fellowship in reproductive endocrinology, at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as reproductive endocrinology.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Barry R. Witt has been practicing reproductive medicine since 1990. After receiving his Medical Degree from New York Medical College, he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Witt held an academic appointment at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and joined the hospital staff of Montefiore Medical Center. For 13 years, Dr. Witt was the Director of the Donor Oocyte Program at Montefiore’s Institute for Reproductive Medicine & Health as well as serving as the Program Director for IVF and the Medical Director for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) for several years. In July, 2003, Dr. Witt joined us to help develop a new fertility and IVF program in Greenwich, CT, The Greenwich Fertility and IVF Center, where he currently practices and serves as its Medical Director.
