Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery

Overview

The purpose of this elective is to introduce the student to clinical and academic aspects of urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. Each student will participate with members of the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery in patient evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. Students will scrub on all surgical cases at Tisch and Bellevue Hospitals, make rounds on in-patients with attendings and fellows and attend clinics. The student will also participate in the division's academic endeavors (e.g., journal clubs, didactic lectures) and will present a discussion on an assigned topic at the conclusion of the rotation
