NYU Department of Ophthalmology Residency Program
Fellowship Training
Fellowships are offered in the following areas:
Vitreoretinal surgery
Oculoplastics
Cornea
Glaucoma
Cataract/Anterior Segment
Those in fellowship training are not competing with the residents, but rather assist with resident instruction. New York University Medical Center is a resident training institution. Its goal is to graduate qualified, well rounded, ethical clinical and research ophthalmologists.
Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship
We offer one of approximately 35 AUPO/AAPOS approved programs in training pediatric ophthalmologists. The program is a comprehensive one which includes supervision of residents, participation in clinical research and presentation at national meetings. We participate in the matching program administered by the AUPO.
