Post Graduate Orthopaedic Trauma Research Opportunities

The division of Trauma at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases offers several one and two-year Orthopaedic Trauma research Fellowships for recent college graduates and medical students interested in completing one or two gap years of education in orthopaedic clinical research. 

Responsibilities and daily activities include: learning how to develop a research hypothesis and to conduct a review of the literature; composing a research protocol; submitting research protocols to the Institutional Review Board for review; opportunities for patient interaction; opportunities to be mentored in a hospital clinic and research setting; learning and/or honing clinical examination skills; opportunities to observe trauma surgeries; collecting, organizing and analyzing clinical research data; preparing the results for submission for academic publication and presentation to peers. 
           
In addition, the student will have the opportunity to audit courses related to clinical research duties and data analysis skills at the NYU School of Medicine.Interested individuals should contact Kenneth Egol MD, Director of Trauma Research at kenneth.egol@nyumc.org

Post-Doctoral Spine Research Fellow

The NYU HJD Spine Division is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The purpose of this position is to advance spine research and development and to facilitate the research endeavors of investigators in the Spine Division, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
