Affordable Psychotherapy
The Psychoanalytic Association of New York provides affordable
psychotherapy to the medical students of the NYU School of Medicine,
along with their spouses and children. All services are private
and confidential. Referral to participating PANY members is made
through the Student Health Service of the School of Medicine. Mindi
Feldman, NP, director of Student Health, ordinarily coordinates
initial consultations with the Student Health psychiatric consultant,
Dr. K. Chapman Attwell. Further referral for psychotherapy, when
necessary, is made by them. Medical students have mental health
coverage via their United Healthcare medical insurance. Treatment
is structured so that it is affordable for the student or their
family member.
