NYU/JCC Parkinson Wellness Program

The New York University Parkinson and Movement Disorders Center and the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan proudly announce a partnership to establish the NYU/JCC Parkinson Wellness Program. This innovative partnership was founded with the aim of helping to improve our participants’ quality of life through learning, fitness and creativity. Pre-registration is required for all classes and events.

Fitness Classes
We believe in the potential for physical, mental and emotional benefit through increased exercise and improved fitness. Our fitness classes are designed for people with Parkinson and they are geared to help improve strength and maintain balance in a fun, relaxed environment with top instructors who are trained in Parkinson. Classes include Pilates, Tai Chi, Yoga and Nia: Movement and Music. To register, contact Amy C. Lemen at 646-505-5744.

Parkinson Wellness Sunday Series
The NYU/JCC Parkinson Wellness Sunday Series is a periodic educational and creativity series that is designed to help inspire you and your family with new ideas for living well with Parkinson. Join us for stimulating panel discussions by some of the leaders in the fields of Parkinson research and treatment, as well as creative workshops incorporating art, dance, music, movement, and relaxation. Register online or contact the JCC at 646-505-5706.

The NYU/JCC Parkinson Wellness Program is supported by the Edmond J. Safra Philanthropic Foundation.
