Depending on the needs of the individual patient, the team may include clinical
specialists from other divisions of the Medical Center.
The team members involved with the care of an individual patient meet weekly, ensuring a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to each patient's rehabilitation.
Social workers coordinate individually structured programs designed to meet the daily needs of patients after discharge. Because a supportive family plays an important role in both successful rehabilitation and independent living after hospitalization, family members are encouraged to participate in all phases of treatment.
Outpatient services are available for former inpatients who need to continue their rehabilitation progress as well as for patients whose conditions do not require an inpatient stay.
The people of Rusk make the difference: Embodying the team approach, the men and women who provide outstanding rehabilitation and related services to patients have earned the Institute a worldwide reputation.
